Must See Flower Festivals & Events

Have you ever wanted to immerse yourself in a field of flowers stretching as far as the eye can see? To be surrounded by bright, fantastic, fragrant blossoms just at their peak? Can you imagine a rainbow of colors blooming before you, worked into elaborate displays and sculptures like a dream come to life?

If so, you need to get yourself to a floral festival or event, STAT. Nanz & Kraft Florists has got the scoop on the best (and closest) flower-centric attractions so that you can realize all of your floral fantasies. Spring and summer see dozens and dozens of flower-focused events and celebrations populating calendars across the country. Read on to find out which ones belong on yours.

Whitehall Peony Festival, Louisville

First up is our very own peony festival that takes place at Whitehall. This free event features 60 varieties of peonies at the height of their beauty in June. Walk the grounds while you’re here, exploring the arboretum, specimen garden and Florentine garden before losing yourself among the Woodland Fern one.

Dogwood Trail Celebration, Paducah

There’s nothing quite like catching the dogwoods in bloom, and this event brings both outdoor adventure and dogwoods together. You can walk, drive or bike along a 12 mile trail studded with dogwood trees, all while viewing historic homes on the way. The path is even lit up at night for an especially magical experience.

Nashville Cherry Blossom Festival, Nashville

Hop on over to our neighbor Tennessee and catch this event, which pays tribute to Japanese and American ties through the blooming of cherry trees (1,000, to be exact). The whole community comes out to walk a little over two miles to see the gorgeous white and pink blossoms, and then celebrates with tons of festivities in Nashville Public Square.

Make it a floral event in your own home year round by always keeping flowers in the house. We’re loving Jean Estelle right now, with its vibrant lilies and peach roses.
