In the News: Spotlight on Louisville Girls Leadership and Its Partnership with Nanz & Kraft

It’s March, and that means it’s Women’s History Month! To commemorate the occasion, Nanz & Kraft Greenhouse Lead Chloe Cardin sat down with Lucy Calderon, the Program Director for Louisville Girls Leadership and Sean Baute, host of Let’s Listen. Nanz & Kraft Florist is proud to be a corporate sponsor for this incredible non-profit that helps girls unlock their leadership potential.

“It’s really important for Nanz & Kraft to give back to the community,” Cardin said. “This year we’re celebrating our 175th anniversary, and we would not have gotten that far without community support. Being able to partner with different, small non-profit groups is a very important mission for us. Being able to help women is very important work and we love being able to do that.”

“Small non-profits can’t do anything without funding and with help from corporate sponsorship,” Calderon added. “We want to make sure that every girl, no matter who they are and where they come from, have access. That’s why partnerships like this are so important to us.”

This month, Nanz & Kraft has a way for everyone to give back to Louisville Girls Leadership, as well as celebrate Women’s History Month in a beautiful way. “Until the end of March we’re going to be doing those Wonderful Women plant arrangements,” Cardin explained. “For every one purchase, Nanz & Kraft will be donating five dollars to LGL.”

Louisville Girls Leadership teaches girls an array of important life and leadership skills, including networking, college and career readiness, automobile skills, financial acuity, and more. Once girls graduate from the program, they can return to help mentor the next generation.
